WELCOME
Manasquan Cares was founded in the wake of the devastating damage caused by hurricane Sandy as a mechanism to provide humanitarian aid to help local families who had suffered catastrophic losses during that horrible coastal event. Founded in response to that historic disaster, our primary mission continues today: to build and maintain an emergency reserve fund should another natural disaster affect our community. While we are off to a good start thanks to our very generous Manasquan Community - who has helped us raise over $32,000 through the Mayor's Charity Ball during the past two years, and over $15,000 through the Mid- Winter Run this past year- we have a long way to go to reach an appropriate funding level to effectively assist should there be another town-wide catastrophic event.
In addition to preparing for future emergencies, Manasquan Cares also provides immediate financial assistance to local individuals and families on a limited basis facing unexpected humanitarian hardships. Although no emergency requests have been received this year, over the past two years the organization has provided more than $3,500 in emergency aid to four local families and individuals during times of critical need.
Want to know more? For transparency purposes, as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt not for profit organization run by volunteers, Manasquan Cares files with the IRS an annual informational document called an IRS 990 form, which sets forth our annual financial health, including income, expenses and spending. This information is openly available and posted online to the public at IRS.Gov.
The all-volunteer board of Manasquan Cares would like to thank you again for your support as we look to aid our local community. Your continued generosity will allow us to continue providing emergency assistance to local families while building and maintaining a reserve to respond quickly to future disasters.

Supporting Our Community
MISSION STATEMENT
Manasquan Cares strives to provide humanitarian or hardship assistance to relieve human suffering caused by natural disasters or other emergency hardships as set forth further below. Manasquan Cares recognizes that Manasquan is part of the greater Monmouth County shore community, which has in the past been subject to severe coastal weather, adversely impacting many individuals. Manasquan Cares therefore strives to provide humanitarian relief to support those in our community who have suffered catastrophic losses due to such unfortunate circumstances as the need arises. These losses could include, but are not limited to, losses related to serious accidents/medical conditions, home displacement due to house fires, flooding or other severe weather or natural disaster-related conditions.
